Recently we have been doing passion projects. Passion projects are basically like writing facts about what you like. You can buddy up with someone else if you want and make it even better. All the people in my class have done at least four passion projects. I have done one about WW2, one about the history of NZ, One about the Abyssal zone and one about Money in the future. I hope that you have gotten some ideas about a project to do.

For the past two weeks we have been doing athletics training for athletics day which is this coming Monday. On Tuesday we did relays which was reasonably fun but sometimes when we were giving the stick to each other we dropped it. We also did the relays on Thursday. On Wednesday we did the softball throw which I wasn’t the best at but it was still really fun. But I think we might have done high jump but I’m not to sure.

Hey everyone this week for one of our tasks we had to write either a limerick or parody so I chose to do a limerick. A limerick is a five line poem with the first, second and fifth line rhyming as well as the third and fourth line rhyming. They are also usually a little bit funny and are almost like a nursery rhyme. By the way my one is based on the tune of ten little monkeys jumping on the bed.

Hey everyone,
recently me and my group (Nathan, Semisi, Spencer, Rikhil, Chloe, Ethan and Elvis) made a film. It had to be under three minutes which was unfortunate because otherwise our film would have been much better. It took us about five weeks to film because when you have a big group if one person is away you can’t film. It was really fun filming other than when people in my group were mucking around. By the way pause it at 2:58 because it tell you what happened after the last seen.

Hey everybody,
Today we did our rocket launch! Over the past few weeks we have been learning and testing rockets made out of plastic bottles and used water and air pressure as our fuel. My role was to be a chief engineer so it was one of my jobs to be one of the main people to build the rocket. When we filled it up I noticed that some water was leaking from the bottle so unfortunately we could not launch our rocket. We went inside to fix our rocket which was covered in tinfoil and had four fins. We pulled down the tinfoil to find that there were multiple leaks! The guy who came inside to help us, Chris, told us that our “rocket is a complete failure” which was quite sad because we spent a long time making it. Other than that the other rockets were pretty cool. Next time we will make sure there are no leaks by testing it by putting water in it!

For our cybersmart lesson we had to learn how to do a quality blog comment. In the slide above we had to highlight in different colours to signify if it was a greeting, positive, thoughtful or helpful.

Today me and my class played a game that a few people in my called ‘tag royale’. Now your probably wondering why I have been posting so many games invented by people in my class well the reason is as one of our activities we all had to get into groups and invent a new game. So here is how you play: you and one other person team up, then the game begins you and the other person tag as many people as you can if you and another person tag each other you do rock, paper, scissors to find out who goes down. If you get tagged you go down and the only way to get up is if your teammate tags someone then you get up. If you and your partner get tagged then you are eliminated.
Today we played a game invented by some people in my class called octoball. It is basically octopus except you throw dodge balls to get the people into seaweed. But instead of being seaweed you become a crab which means instead of standing still you can move 3 small steps to your right or left. The game worked out pretty good but then the taggers had to do this weird thing to get an extra ball and that wasn’t a good idea but other than that I enjoyed it.
